Today's painting is a "plein air" piece painted from the end of the dock at Duncan's Boat Dock looking across the marina towards some private boat slips. It was a beautiful morning to be out on the dock painting as the sun was rising. As noted before, some painter friends and I have decided to meeting once a week and paint on location, trying different locations around the area. This piece is an unframed 5 x 7 oil on a "clayboard art panel."

There is a major difference between cheap "marine grade" screws and more expensive marine screws. One of the risks of using cheap decking screws is that they strip more easily.
