Today's painting is a pastel painting of Fountian City Pond, located in Fountain City. (North Knoxville) The pond is also known as the duck pond and a favorite gathering area for families to feed the ducks and to take a stroll. The pond also has a large spraying fountain in the center but at night it is off which kept its surface like glass and reflected all the city lights upon its surface.
The painting is matted in a white mat and framed in a simple black frame, its overall size is 11 x 14.

Today's painting is another "plein air" piece painted on location along the river walk downtown. The Henley Street Bridge is undergoing a three year re-furbishing, and its quite interesting to watch and paint the different stages of de-construction and now new construction. The painting was created in the rain and with a jack-hammer screaming above my head, not that it makes a difference but it is the adventure of it all.
This piece is an unframed 6 x 8 oil on a canvas mounted on panel.
